More on plagues, more on Turkey
After my editorial on Famine, Turks and Plague
I am happy to announce that this issue of the
European Journal of Public Health has a number of important contributions in
the field of infectious disease epidemiology and control, as
well as contributions from Turkey. When you encounter this
spotlight you have our
viewpoint section on influenza preparedness already
behind you. Follow four original contributions on HIV transmission,
HIV prevention, tuberculosis screening, and measlesmumpsrubella
immunization from all corners of Europe. And right after that
you will find two papers on maternal and child health from Turkey,
which illustrate the potential which this country has for making
interesting contributions to European public health.
